Manchester or Leeds - advice needed

What's Preston like by the way? I believe we have an offer to sleep in someone's front room there on the night in question. Is there anything to report on the nightlife side of things?

Don't know personally as we just dossed in a Travel Lodge place, but a couple of mates stayed up after Preston away a couple of seasons back (the Tuesday night 0-3) and said it was cheap as chips for drinks and fanny. It's definitely true that the further north you go, the more 'accomodating' the local birds are.

Stayed at the City Travelodge in Leeds when we played at Elland Road a couple of seasons back.

Some idiot set off the fire alarm at 4 in the morning. We had to troop outside into the street and stand around for half an hour in the company of about a dozen near-naked hen parties.

I'd recommend Manchester for a quiet night's sleep.

manchester for sure, theres about 6 of us going out after the game in manc, im at uni there so of course im of biased opinion but manchester is alot easier to get to than leeds, theres a direct train from carlisle, also saturday night in manc is superb, as well as that particular saturday night being freshers ball night so very lively along oxford road area

i did Leeds there is choice of EVERYTHING, loads of pubs, loads of clubs for everytype of music and even 2 or 3 comedy clubs.
