This was so predictable.
Another self destructive performance. A line up clearly selected with Thursday in mind. Just like Villa, another game sacrificed. Teams now know that if they go at us hard and early, we crumble. How many more games are we going to be two down early? This will be 5 games without a win, lots of goals conceded, lots and lots of team changes. No balance between attack and defence.
Not competitive at Villa. Not competitive here. City will now coast for the remainder of the game, picking us off.

Gross looks leggy, international games taking their toll?

In our defence for this first half so far, we are unlucky to be playing City in Rodri’s first game back after suspension and Stones first start of the season - this is the best they’ve played all season.

Guardiola always loved playing against Potter/RDZ teams at home. We don't cheat or low block, a one sided open game where they can take the p.

Before these games he heaps praise on our manager, that old tactic, adding to the roll over and have your tummy tickled.

I generally agree with you. But wouldn't it be nice to have a keeper who makes a good save now and again? Especially as we forced out a bloody good keeper to make room for Steele.
Yea people can have their opinions on Steele or anyone for that matter, but it needs to stop the abuse he gets when he concedes a goal, especially when it’s 100% not his fault. Some ridiculous comments.

I understand that, but the abuse steele gets even Webster and some younger players get is disgusting. Steele this game has done nothing wrong but yet again is getting blamed by the same people every week.
Steele never does anything 'wrong'. The problem is literally every challenging shot goes past him, because he's an average championship keeper.

It's at his near post from a shot outside the area. He's gambling that Haaland tries to bend it into the far corner around Dunk. I don't think it's his fault but he's bloody easy to score against and reckon some other PL keepers could get closer to that and save it.

For the record, I would have started Steele today.
Not for me and I’m right behind the goal - crisp shot in the corner but fair play I get this is not anti JS propaganda

I’m not saying he’s the best shot stopper in the world, but in no way should any keeper be expected to save any of these goals today.

Why is it a game with Thursday in mind? I don’t undertstand that comment. Milner instead of Veltman is the only really questionable decision - this was pretty much our first choice team.

I don't care how nice our football is (actually it really isn't this season) or that we score goals, if you defend like a bottom three team you're going to start looking over your shoulder.
