It’s not helping at all that too many of ours are putting in 5/10 performances so far. When we do have the ball we’ve looked sloppy with too many passes going astray when not under that much pressure.

I’m not.
Let's see
Rampant already against Arsenal and 1 up..sadly we've kick started their season.

Yeah, but you have to admit that we are (currently) not really turning-up for the first 45 mins. Why is that?

If people here deny that ever happens, then RDZ is fantastic in his honesty post match and his very early subs reveal alot.

Villa, Bmuff, AEK, West Ham … we were comatose, not at the races first half.

Those officials were crooked - how was there only 4 minutes added time in that half with the new rules this season? It's a joke
March went down with 88 on clock, so that was 2 mins. There’s no way that there was only another 2 mins of stoppages that half!

Worst atmosphere for the away fans
Just doesn't work with the two tiers sadly.
Mind you the home fans weren't anything special.
Summed it up at halftime with the pumpkin race with fans from Altrincham, Wrexham, Teeside etc

Have you seen who we've been playing? Of course we want to be winning, but it's been a f*** of a run recently.
Quite!

Found an old thread I posted last month saying as much

Gutted about the injuries to Solly and Danny - that’s really fcuked 🙁

It’s a shame we keep giving good teams a head start before Roberto sorts it out. I know it’s not his style but does feel like a slightly more pragmatic line-up would serve us well from the off. Always seems to me that we’re a player light in the middle and better when that’s addressed. Fati is pretty good at dropping deep which helps. Not holding my breath with RDZ and his results have earned the right to trust but it would only be reining in his ambitious approach a tiny bit…

If the scoreline was reversed I’m sure they’d have added at least 8 minutes with the time wasting, sub windows and the fact that Solly was injured in normal time as you say. Doku was class but he was also down for at least a minute in the 2nd half after colliding with Veltman

What is going on with us in the 1st half of matches lately? Is it part of a master plan to lull them into a false sense of security?
I wasn't expecting anything today, so not taking a battering was a good result in my eyes.
I hope Solly's ok, I'm going to be gutted if he's injured badly, it didn't look good on the telly box. ☹️

I agree that I would also like him to be a little more pragmatic at times in order to get results, but if you love football, I'm not sure there are (m)any teams in Europe that you'd rather support right now :albion2:

What's the current count of European Champions we have played in the last few (and coming games ?)

We are playing a different sport this season, we are losing too many players. I think we are not ready to compete in this competition and we are adapting."

Come on man !! We had 4 players out before today. Now we have 6 players out. About average for the league.

Sounds like lame excuses to me.
