I know you don’t get points for ‘giving it a go’ but this has been really encouraging tonight.

Don't get me wrong, I'm a "Potter in" before a review in 3 more games now (it was 5 two games ago). Even if he does have to go then it would be reluctantly, but ultimately being a football manager reminds me of Napoleon's comment when talking about the appointment of a new general to his army. He was apparently a tactical genius, well organised, brave, intelligent and frankly the best thing since sliced bread. "Ah yes" said Napoleon, "but is he lucky?". Potter has two faults in his side, defending set pieces and putting the ball in the net. Both are fatal floors that shoot ourselves in the foot. If he is to start getting lucky, he needs to focus on the business end of the game, and pretty damn quick if he is to keep his job. It is ultimately about results.

Team effort really, everyone’s had to work very hard, some really neat passing and bodies put on the line at the back.

Tau looks like he might give us something a little different, very happy to take people on with the ball and got a turn of pace.

Not disgraced ourselves at all.

Dunk had been sensational.

Khadra...no pressure son, it's just Man City and we need a goal

I’ll start with shape, strength, work ethic, Tau, Webster, Ali Mac and Sanchez at least.

Super to hear, I was really looking forward to seeing the Lion of Judah. But also really happy for Sanchez and Ali Mac.

Sanchez is sharp.

Had read on Sky sports updates they raved about a few saves he's made - really reassuring. Perhaps we really don't need that Romero guy we've been linked with at United..

Disappointed that Tau got subbed, but understand the (possible) reason. I'd have put Zeqiri on for him rather than out of sorts Maupay though.

:ffsparr:made a point in a thread a few hours ago about Potter not utilising the youth as much as some people argued for me.

YOOF all over the bench and another youth debut..
