So close to 0-0 at half time, so close. Still a lot better than I feared and some very positive individual performances.

Very much this. City have got some ridiculously good players and we managed to nullify them for the majority of that half. Unfortunately for us, City turned on the style and punished us right at the end of the half. We’ve certainly not embarrassed ourselves thus far. If we could be a bit more incisive on the break we may claw one back... maybe :albion2:

Good half. Shame about Sanchez’s positioning for their goal, but these things happen.

We’ve had a couple of passes in their area too which is promising.

That’s a really tough break, the defensive shape was looking good and we were breaking them well at times, bit of a soft goal but encouraging overall.

God performance so far. Goal aside, top quality finish

Burn/Bernardo working well. Tross unconvincing, but what else do we do. . . Tau looks the part thankfully.

Playing well but don't think it is quite god level.

Webster has been superb. A decent half from everyone. Tau looks sharp and Macallister has been a revelation. Dunk at his best. Encouraging.

We've done much better than I expected overall; such a shame we couldn't keep it to 0-0 right up until half-time.

I really thought Citeh would be 3-0 up after 45 minutes.

Decent first half performance. Fewer individual errors and better, more positive passing. Really impressed by Percy. Shame about the goal. Sanchez probably should have done better but was a very good finish. Looking forward to the second half and that has not always been the case recently.

Oh, that's gutting. Would have been a really positive first half if we'd got in at 0-0. Pretty much ****ed now, they'll rip us apart on the counter. I hope we don't get humped from here.

Some positives though. Some good old fashioned Duncan Duffy defending, MacAllister looks classy playing behind the front two, Tau looks bright, his pace along with Lamptey's is going to cause a lot of teams some real problems.

Well... Good first half, considering the opposition. Shame we conceeded so close to half-time, it'll really open it up for City in the 2nd half.

Tau looking really good. Really lively, good pace, great ball control and touches. Best player for us probably.

Bernardo looks well out of his depth, but bizarrely pulled off a couple of really good challenges amongst loads of errors.

White looking really good in central midfield. His best performance yet in that position.

Sanchez looking really solid. Not a lot he could have done about that finish right in the corner.

Alex Mac also looking decent. A couple of outstanding passes.

All in all, shame we conceded the goal as it will open the flood gates. We might be able to nick a goal at a push, but chances are it'll end up 3-0 or similar.

Yep, this.

....and Steve McManaman is a patronising ****.

Citeh will want more goals so the tactics should remain. We’ll get a big chance or two in the second half, just need to take it and hopefully block them out of any other scoring opportunities.

We haven't been bad: Tau, Mac and Webster have had good games. Maybe Webster should have done better with the goal but that was a quality turn.

What the hell is up with Propper though? He looks completely off the pace and his passing his way off. Trossard should be doing better too. Let's have Gross and Maupay on, sharpish

Alexis Mac and Tau look really good. The problem with Trossard is that there is no guile or thought put into his final ball. He has nice skills but doesn't look or doesn't think about where to put it when he's got himself into a good position.

Hope we can give City a surprise early in the second.
