Just seen this was rumoured on their board last week.

By the way he signed a 5 year contract in April last year.

mention that to our younger members...they all seem to reckon managers are falling over themselves to come to this "massive club"

So you would leave club just about to be the champions of the 4th division, with your team that you have nurtured, for a team who are odds on to be relegated to the 4th division and have had a host of other managers turning us down...

And what is this "bigger club" nonsence.

Brighton is a small seaside town team. Who are stuggling to stay in teh third division....

People amaze me

Who are the 'host of other managers' who have turned us down? I know of one-did I miss a load of 'thanks but no thanks' from a host of others?

Also, being one point from safety is not exactly odds on to be relegated is it?

I think Scott would be better advised to stay with Brentford and get the promotion firmly on his CV before he considers a move.

Honestly, your moaning is starting to annoy me. Every subject you seem to like to have a pissy little moan about. Brighton are bigger than Brentford, fact. History, fanbase, potential. If you don't agree, you're an idiot to me. :bla:

He's done a brilliant job at Brentford, FACT. But Brighton is a bigger job for him, I didn't say he would take the job, I don't know the man and I'm not going to say he's even applied, but IN MY OPINION, he would be a sensible appointment if he wanted it.

It will be in a few games time, i'd rather we were one point above and had just twatted one of the other teams in the mix up at the bottom 4-0 at there place!!!
This is shit!!!
I suggest we appoint f***ing Postman Pat as our new manager, at least he could f*** them with his giant dicknose if they didn't perform.

Lot of assumptions there... odds on to be relegated... last I looked we still have a good chance of not going down...we aren't adrift. Host of other managers turning us down? As far as I know only Gannon has turned us down but do you have more information? Gannon was an unlikely option anyway, considering his connections to Stockport and I was not surprised he didn't come.

Don't get me wrong. I agree we are not an exactly attractive option but Brentford will also struggle in League 1 next year. We also don't know their financial position or how good the contract at Brentford is in relation to what we might offer.

Seems to me he might JUST consider us, depending on the offer on the table.

Which makes it unlikely but NOT impossible. Do we know the terms of that contract and do we know if the club has kept to them? There are so many unknown factors involved. Again, I say, it is unlikely but not fantastic so lets just wait and see instead of trying to be know-alls and pooh-poohing everyone.

If I am annoying you, please dont be annoyed. Life is far too short to get annoyed by the postings on a message board ( unless you take whatever is written on here as gospel). If you dont like what I post, please put me on ignore...its very simple.

Afterall, its all about opinions and I am a Huddersfield Town fan anyway, so my ramblings come from an outsider looking in!

Is this the guy that is the same ages as Nicky Forster, but had to retire because of heart problems, coming here will do the world of good.

Not sure if he is what we need, as he has only had one job, but he is doing it well, but then again it is division 4

I heard a rumour that Gannon turned down the job because DK would not support his proposal to introduce a PINK away kit for next season.

Come on Knight, do the right thing - we would look good in PINK.

A little more respect for Granny if you don't mind. Being a newcomer you may not realise that Granny is one of our more revered posters and star of phone ins, plus he has a lovely daughter who also posts on here.
