Top and 4 points clear. If there's any truth in this then I'd be excited and delighted if we appointed him!

why would a Brentford manager whose team are going up, probably as champions, want to come to a team who Brentford will in all probability pass on the way up the leagues....

we ought to get a reality check here folks

Well it's the reason that everyone says about any other manager wanting to come here.

or not as the case appears to be. With the record of this board in retaining managers, I would have thought mentioning Falmer to a prospective manager is the last thing they want to do....as its totally irrelevant.

I would be suprised by the appointment, but he's clearly doing a good job at Brentford as it is, and I think he'd be a little bit daft not to see the season through. But Brighton is a bigger club, and these offers don't come around all the time, so it would be good for him career wise I think, especially if he could keep us up and we're not exactly cut adrift are we. I think he'd be a sensible appointment.

what about that bloke who used to be on the phone in with harty? Think he is a SS STH. He seems to know his stuff - couldn't he be our new manager?

Why would Andy Scott come here, its the same problem with Gannon. Gannon and Scott have done wonders up in their respective clubs, Gannon is making Stockport fight for Play-offs and are seventh. and Andy Scott is trying to get Brentford up Automatically from League Two. Why on earth would they want to come here, with us being third bottom and looking towards the trapdoor?!

So you would leave club just about to be the champions of the 4th division, with your team that you have nurtured, for a team who are odds on to be relegated to the 4th division and have had a host of other managers turning us down...

And what is this "bigger club" nonsence.

Brighton is a small seaside town team. Who are stuggling to stay in teh third division....

People amaze me

My mum's brothers half uncle was having a beer (in a brown paper bag on Shoreham Beach )when a light aiircraft landed at Shoreham and was met by Mr Knight, and Jim Smith was whisked off for an interview and has been offered the job.

Course,it IS only a rumour, but it was whispered here first.
