Even Newcastle fans laughed last season when there was a suggestion of Carroll being picked by Capello. If he drops Terry as captain because he poked another player's ex, then he surely can't square that with picking a player awaiting trial for assault and with a reputation for using his fists to solve arguments.

I'm sure they also laughed because he's a bit shit.
