The stands are quite far back from the pitch, the ground doesnt hold the noise, its miles out. And everyone in Turin supports Torino as well.

Juve are actually redeveloping it soon into a 40k seater, possibly moving the stands closer to the pitch as well, not sure about the last bit though.

Also, I think you'll find the Italian league is just as exciting as the Premier League. Last year the goals per game ratio was 2.57 vv2.53, so not much difference there. Indeed this year, italy has had more goals per game 2.65 v 2.33.

Empty Stadium- ok some clubs have poor attendances, but what you also have to remember is some clubs have bigger grounds, and therefore while there are still a substantial amount of fans at some games, there may be empty spaces. The atmosphere at places like Roma and Inter is fantastic. The racism problem does not apply everywhere, mainly to certain clubs.
