Apparently not going on general sale, beyond MyAlbion+ members. That'll teach me for not buying Albion+, eh?

Now there's a 14 day cooling off period before you can buy tickets with membership. I know for next time I guess.

If you really wanted to go I'd still consider becoming a member, tickets will probably still be available in two weeks' time - worst case scenario you keep an eye out for player comps and snag one.

Yeah does seem strange. I guess in 14 days its most likely the last 140 will be gone. Last resort could be to buy a membership now and then keep an eye out for those random tickets that sometimes pop up in the week or two before an away game. Sometimes there's tickets held for guests and then they randomly get put back on sale even after a game is 'sold out'.

I've done it now, so that I can hopefully catch the City game in March without issue.

Maybe they are worried about Manu fans with purchase history buying in our section, it would certainly be cheaper for them to do so!

For anyone who has bought a ticket and not noticed on the email, the club is doing a 20% discount thingy on train tickets to Manchester booked through Trainline. Although for some reason it's still ridiculously expensive that Sunday, even after applying discount cards as well. Cheaper to drive for us.

I would say unlikely because i would think if it was possible they would have done it already. That being said i do not know if the tickets we have not taken up are currently on sale to home fans so i cannot be categorical on that. One thing is that it is almost certain that a few will pop up closer to the actual date of the match either from unused club comps or possibly some ambulant disabled seats being re-categorised for general use if not sold at that time so always worth having a look now and then.

Asked the club about this and they couldn't help at all - they have no knowledge of whether vouchers have gone out and no ability to engage Trainline about the matter and as has been pointed out on here Trainline doesn't have a functioning customer service team so that's that. Glad I bought a ticket to Manchester immediately on the off chance this would fall through.

Thank you for recently completing our survey for a 20% discount code from Trainline for the Manchester United away match.

The RMT trade union has announced a rail strike on Avanti services for Sunday 19th January. This means many trains to Manchester will be cancelled so we do not advise travelling by train to the Manchester United match. We know how frustrating strikes are and look forward to supporting train travel with another match in the future.

If the industrial action is cancelled, this will be reviewed and we will be back in touch.

About 50 tickets on sale. Im guessing these are the ones usually held back for guests etc.
