It was corporate, soulless, and the result was a foregone conclusion for the last 40 minutes.

Berbatov, Scholes and Vidic were superb, Rooney was playing left wing back for reasons only known to SAF, Ronaldo for all his incredible skill is ****ish, but the best thing is that the Stretford End are still singing songs about Leeds, whilst the plastics spent all their time waiting for Beckham to come on.

I thought it was brilliant game, Man U played very well as did Inter, a proper champions league tie

Agreed. It actually was a proper Champions League tie because the Champions of England were playing the Champions of Italy. That's how it should be. Villareal & Liverpool have no moral right to be in this competition.

:yahoo: :D remember 83 FA Cup.

Yeah, I got over it.

It was disappointing to lose an FA Cup final, even though we were relegation fodder that season, and were extreme outsiders to win the final, and we were beaten in a replay, by a team full of internationals, Jeez, that is no shame. OK, so there were a couple of tussles in the game, but there are in many games, you can’t exonerate the Albion as being angels, then or now.

United are great to watch, with real talent playing in all positions, a manager who has proved time and time again that he can succeed, despite everything that is levelled at him and his teams.

If you don't want to watch the game we all love, when it is being played at the ultimate level, just because United are in it, well, you are missing out. Both teams were cracking in that game, but United, through resilience, talent and leadership made sure they were the team going through.

much as I despise Merchandising United at least they make the effort to win the league to qualify for the Champions League...

Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal, Roma etc etc should be nowhere near it...they are being rewarded for failure

 I couldn't agree more.

I hated Man Uafter the FA Cup Final. I hated Norman Whiteside, I despised Ron Atkinson, I loathed the mention of Man U. But over time that changed. When Ferguson started building that young team it was impossible not to be attracted to them. Since then I have liked the way they play and will happily watch them play. I'm still a Brighton fan, always will be, but I don't think that excludes me from watching some of the best football you could see played by this team.
