[Albion] Man United Disallowed Goal

It was a big decision that went our way - we just had that little bit of fate working for us in the first half when United were decent and Rashford was very threatening, like the one onto the bar. Second half we took them apart

Sometimes in games especially away against the so called big teams you need 50/50 decisions to go your way . Fortunately they did on Saturday , the pen not given I don’t think was but if the ref had given it would var had over ruled it ?
Possibly not . The ball was out of play or at least looked it but possibly another camera angle might have shown it touching the line & the goal might then have been given . Tiny margins but you often need them to go your way especially when the game is tight like in the first half.

We had the opposite happen in the spurs away game last season !

Yes VAR would have over-ruled had the ref given a penalty, because the challenge was well outside the box.

The ball was unarguably out of play. The one camera actually on the line makes that quite clear. Its not in any way a 50/50 call. Its simply out.

And we did NOT have 'the opposite happen' at Spurs at all. Marginal decisions going (correctly) in your favour is not 'the opposite' of patently incorrect decisions being given against you, through incompetent officials failing to follow or understand their own procedures.

You get my point though presumably or maybe you just like being argumentative ..
