United will still want to finish the season on a high regardless of if 4th place is beyond them or not. With the various combinations for European qualification this season there is a chance that 6th place could get the 3rd qualifying round spot in the Europa League which means games at the end of July when Utd should be on a pre season tour of Asia. They will want to avoid that clash as the tour will worth a lot more money but may have to cancel it.

I would be more concerned if it was Cardiff at home, but I can't see Utd doing anything other than getting a win at Old Trafford regardless of what is or isn't on the game for them.

Hopefully Cardiff will be down by then anyway

How long have each of their managers had since Fergie? If they're doing badly over the next few games, and then aren't making an effort against Cardiff, his job could well be under threat.

Regardless, the idea the he won't want his team to win the last game of the season at home is plain stupid.

Cardiff might only need a draw.

I know that we should have an eye on the remaining fixtures and worry accordingly but...

...it is quite funny

Well Cardiff have done more going forward already today v Liverpool than we did all game v wolves yesterday. They are so much more dynamic going forward than us. Im feeling a bit more worried again suddenly...

They’ll beat two of Fulham, Palace and Man U. We need another win.

Have to say, their fans are making a great atmosphere, just wish we could get that sort of noise going at the Amex, we know the players thrive on it, and must hate it when the whole thing goes flat, or worse, the morning and booing starts.

And no evidence of an exodus for a pie and pint 10 minutes before HT
