Dunk's been playing against championship and premier league opposition. And that's like playing for Charlton and Eastbourne, how?

The opposition is completely irrelevant.

The point is that a player doesn't have to have played a significant amount of games to be worth a lot of money.

Not for, but that's probably because a player of Premier League standard wouldn't be playing in the County League - and if he was, he would have more than 10-sub appearances to his name. I would then assume far less than 1m would be paid because which County League side would reject a bid of £100K let alone 1M.
