I think this game has been the perfect example of why Semi-Finals should not be played at Wembley. Two Northern Teams, having to travel many miles, pay shit loads of money, for an absolutely shocking game, that they could have just watched on TV. Even if it goes to penalties, and theres a hint of excitement. It shouldn't make up for it.
I understand the reason behind it. Needing to make the money back they spent on the stadium etc. But it's just daft. They could have played Arsenal/Chelsea there, that would be understandable, and then have this match at Villa Park (like past years).
Sorry F.A. but "boooooooooooooooooooooo!"
Totally agree. Getting to Wembley should be the big prize for club and fans and should be reserved for the final. Holding the semi-finals there just devalues the thing and means many more shots of crying losing quarter-finalists whose ultimate ambition is just to play at Wembley.
