5/1 is the worst price on the market, BTW - plenty of 11/2 about and some 6/1 in places too.

Skybet 19/4 which is under 5/1 unfortunately as its my betting account and i don't want to open another one

Have we ever won there and how many top half teams have we beaten away since we got promoted? All very well having a team that play good football but we’ll we’ll remain underdogs until we actually win some away games against decent teams, even ones that are in shit form.

^^This. Everyone expects Spurs, Utd and Everton to get their shit together sooner or later, we are still shaking off our reputation from last season and we have never won at OT. That being said I think we are in with a damn good chance, and if we do win then its 99-1 odds on the headlines will call it an upset.

The Albion being relegated has pushed out to 7/1 (our biggest PL odds? )

Perhaps the OP will be more interested in that.

Why complain? Those are great odds, slap a tenner on it and if we win. Quids in. We lose, well, the bookies were right.

Exactly. I am not a betting man, but even I couldn't resist throwing a fiver on at 6/1
It's not very likely we will win, but no way is it 6/1 unlikely.

If we beat them then can see the football press putting some major praise on us. We are still slightly under the radar but I think a win there would change minds.

That said, our away record this season hasn't really got going again.

I'm hopeful of a draw or better. Probably deep down expecting a defeat

Instead of taking this as a slight, as if it were an unfavourable comment on Match of the Day, surely the appropriate reaction is to lump on.

Though my feeling is there will be better value than a straight win bet. When I get home, I’ll have a little look at a goals supremacy spread bet or a fixed odds handicap bet. The thinking being, is that I can see us losing, by a goal, but I’d be prepared to bet that we’re more likely to win than we are to lose by 3 or more.

Says 11/2 for me currently on bet365. Doubt it would have been 13/2 a few minutes ago when you posted. Tho I guess stranger things have happened at sea

Yeah my bad, I have it in decimal which was showing 6.5 which I wrongly converted to 13/2

Graham Potter’s Brighton moved into the top half of the table with Saturday’s 2-0 victory over Norwich City. Although it might seem natural to think of the 3-0 home win against Tottenham a month ago as a turning point in their season, the feeling among fans is the fortunate 3-2 victory against Everton last week was more of a watershed moment. Saturday’s Leandro Trossard-inspired victory over Norwich sent Brighton up to ninth, one place above Manchester United, to whom they travel on Sunday. The days when clubs of Brighton’s stature visited Old Trafford aiming merely for damage limitation are long gone. With their summer recruit Trossard fit, Brighton will face Ole Gunnar Solskjær’s misfiring United believing they can register a third straight win in the Premier League.

Currently 13/2 on Bet365[/QUOT

Just lumped £25 on that odds. Not convinced we will win but those odds to good not to take

So that's why they're only 11/2 now.

Still placed a small one on that and an even smaller saver on 1-1.

Who would have thought 10 years ago we'd be going to OT above them in the League and with every prospect of matching them? Junior PG now at Manchester Uni so really looking forward to a weekend up there.

Have placed the £25 at 6.5 which is 11/2. Didn’t think tbh what that even was

Think GP will win the tactical battle just need the players to perform and we may get a win.
Agreed. I was saying at the weekend if the managers were reversed and Potter was in charge of Man U and we had Solskjaer we'd get absolutely tonked. They've got (on paper) the better players, but I feel we have the better manager. Will our managerial edge be enough to get a result?

On another note, a couple of Man Utd supporting Sussex mates of mine tell me off for calling them Man U. Apparently it’s a term used by Liverpool and stems from Munich?! I’m sure they read it online, but I explain I am referring to them as the team Manchester Utd shortened and not making a dig at the Munich tragedy obviously - but they still won’t have it. Anyone heard of this before?! I have to literally think twice when referring to them in wattsapp groups now!

Personally never heard of it myself but that’s why it’s allegedly offensive.

Nah, don't buy that - far too convoluted and over-sensitive. M U Never Iintended Coming Home - yeh right - and Paul's dead 'cos he wasn't wearing shoes when crossing Abbey Road............Manure (or ManUre) is obviously offensive - but Man U? Just an abbreviation (more written than spoken, I would think). Verbally, Man United more common anyway, surely.
