Lampty Coped well but still think he was left to cope one on one far to often. Something they didnt offer to Mitoma

Lamptey, Baleba, Georginio and Mitoma were all excellent. Probably just give it to Lamptey myself.

I know he wasn’t on for long but Gomez also impressed me tonight. Think he won every challenge he went into with Cole Palmer and even used his body and the ball to send Palmer the wrong way so he didn’t have to worry about a tackle come in once or twice too.

Lamptey has been excellent for a while

But not necessarily in the right order.

Hove actually
Pretty much every player was giving it his all. I was impressed by Hinshelwood. He had a decent game and was very impressed by Gomez when he came on. I like the cut of his jib. Just have to love Veltman against that traitor cucu feckin rella.

Veltman for kicking Cucurella around

Yes, I am both petty AND vindictive

I thought Lamptey was in for a nightmare when he got absolutely mugged off by Pedro Neto early on.

Then again, I was fearing for Verbruggen with about eighty minutes to play following his early clanger, and Chelsea failed to have a shot on target after that, so sometimes these things work out for the best.

So tough - Tariq and Georgy were fantastic - went for Georgy for his finish

You missed the finger tip save over the bar and the blinding save at the end?

Nope. The tip over the bar from Palmer (Chelsea's only shot on target) was before his error, and the save at the end, whilst it was great and hopefully boosted his confidence, didn't actually count as the ball had already gone out for a corner before the shot came in.

Sunday Telegraph quote, “One of the biggest cheers was reserved for Brighton’s Joel Veltman, who flew into a crunching tackle on his former team-mate [Cucurella] then appeared to offer to meet him in the car park later
I wonder how many fans we could fit into the carpark next to the Amex to watch this? I think it would be a sell out!

Any video of this online?
