Man Management-3 Things that made me uncomfortable

In amongst the shitstorm from yesterday's defeat I'll throw in a positive - the resurgence of KLL in the last few games, Gus has definitely done something right there.

I am totally with Gus and all managers who refuse to allow sentiment into meaningful games, because KLL wanted to play, if Gus didn't think he was the best option then he shouldn't have played. It would have been weak management if he'd given in IMO.

KLL has scored two and got the pen against Watford and was probably the best player on the pitch in the first half, but burnt out at the end of the game.

I felt a bit uneasy about this (Stephenson sacking) at the time. But I know nothing. !!
Was also very uneasy about the way Martin Hinshelwood was treated. He, and Dean Wilkins, had done a very good job with the youth team over a long time.

Hinshelwood had to go. Anyone who does not subscribe to the Poyet way has to go. We play the same way all the way though the club at every level. Is this a good thing??? It is if it's the right way. If it's not the right way, then the whole club playing structure will crumble.

I thought the game passed JFC by when we played Southampton, but he scored a goal and was hailed as the new Frank Lampard. He was underwhelming in the two games against Wrexham, although scored in one of them, and this has blinkered people's viewpoint of him.

Even his manager at Oxford has dropped him due to inconsistency in form.

I would suggest that Watford were so good on the ball as most of that team would have been playing that way since they were young. This is what Gus wants to instil at the club. You may think that is wrong, many wouldn't.

It's a similar set up at Barcelona.

On point 1, its not unusual for very quiet agreements that some players do not turn out against their old team. Many a player has had a " tight hamstring" the week of the match against his old team.

Buckley...

I'd like to see Inigo Calderon given a few starts. He's done absolutely nothing wrong and he's scored a number of crucial goals that have hauled his manager's balls out of the fire.

instead of who.

I think that ( apart from buckley who I think is on his way out anyway) the side he played against Watford was his number 1 starting X1 now. So I cant see him bringing anyone in apart from injuries etc.

In fact it would not surprise me in the least if there is no transfer activity apart from a couple leavers.

I don't think Buckley has anywhere near the attacking relationship with Bruno he had with Calde.

I figured it would take a while to properly 'know' each other, and in the meantime hey Bruno was being Bruno.
Bruno seems to be a little less Bruno-esque at the moment, and I love Calde, but I'm still not making that call, yet.
