Please, don’t say that. Under RDZ Solly was an absolute revelation. I was at that Man City game and at the time I thought March’s injury was a minor one - how I got that wrong. The good thing is he’s back in training and hopefully, very hopefully, he’ll be knocking at the door for selection. Fingers crossed.
Hope you are right

This is what Hurzeler said when asked by Brian Owen from the Argus about it a couple of weeks ago.
via https://www.theargus.co.uk/sport/24687472.solly-march-progressing-return-injury/

“Of course, after a long injury he is not on the physical level like the players now who are playing every game. But he is working hard on it. He is working physically in the gym very hard on it.
“He is working physically outside the pitch very hard to get there.
“Again, we have to be patient with him. It was a long injury and you have to go there step by step.
“But I am sure he will get his comeback this season. I can’t say a clear schedule when we plan this comeback on the pitch.
“But he had now some minutes for the under-21s. He had a small issue now with a muscle but nothing big.
“Now he will be back in the team training and then we are trying to get him closer and closer to the team.
“And then I am sure he will be soon back on the pitch in the Premier League.”

I imagine his appearances from here on will be few and far between
The info re: his injury has been a bit thin. Initially reported as hamstring and then thigh. No real word as to likely return in last couple of press conferences. Unfortunately. Looked impressive - he's 39 in a few weeks ! - in those early games and pre season.

We could go into this game with close to the strongest squad we've had this season. Meanwhile they have lost three in a row. Absolute best time to ....get good odds on a City win. 8/11.

We've been excellent in patches of most games this season. We've also been naive at some point in virtually every one. If we can show enough maturity to avoid this, we'd have a chance, but the pressure is enormous and, unless the squad has been particularly scalded by the Liverpool turnaround, we know that they'll probably get some chances that are of our own making. Brighton lore says that you can absolutely guarantee that this will be De Bruyne's first start in about a dozen matches and that he'll at some point, ping a long, inch perfect ball to Haaland as we charge everybody forward for no apparent reason.

Strangely we've started this season playing 11 games against teams considered to be either in the strongest seven or weakest six, nobody who was expected to be mid table (although Forest in 17th is looking like a miss for the oddsmakers) https://www.experimental361.com/p/breaking-down-the-2024-25-premier.

After Saturday we get a run of eight fixtures where we play none of the strongest seven, two of the weakest six and six of the 'others'. That strikes me as being the most crucial part of our season. Can our new look squad and coach learn from a baptism of fire and apply it against teams that don't necessarily have so many Salah, Palmer, Saka or Haaland types who'll punish a mistake nine times out of ten? Can it apply itself through a long period of games that will require concentration and total focus without the incentive of occasionally being up against regular ECL teams? Its an opportunity to mould a squad and it's good to see it being bolstered to near full strength by returns from injury. Long may that continue.

Sussex but not by the sea
I'd keep Georghino over Rutter.
