Duffy Dunk Burn

March Stephens Propper Bernardo

Gross Trossard

Maupay

We go for 3 points.

The Pascal Groß position in in doubt because he played v Rovers and Locadia didn't. Bernardo played (not very well) and there seems no clear reason to drop Montoya!?

In view of the opposition there is a case for:

Ryan
Montoya Duffy Dunk Burn
??? Stephens Pröpper March
Maupay Trossard

If Locadia wasn't going to play ??? why leave him out v Rovers?

If he isn't going to play, who ?

Bring Webster in and play Burn upfront. Gives us four CB to defend at set pieces.

There is an old system from the seventies. Five at the back, but instead (or as well as) advancing full backs (one at a time), there is an attacking centre-half (what they were called back then), so the width of the pitch is always covered by a four man defence but one defender can play in midfield at any one time. One winger has to be ditched, but we can only play on one wing at a time anyway. Fifth defender is brought back when defending set pieces and brought forward in attacks.

Man City will appear like midgets in defence.

Been like since the beginning of the season when Knockaert departed

I'd play Bissouma there, if fit

a galaxy far far away
The tactics?

Play our best team, (ie the one that’s been playing)
Play our best formation, 343
Have a go at them
Hope A) we play brilliantly, and B) They don’t, and C) we get a large dollop of fortune
Don’t worry too much if we get pummelled

Deffo agree with the first two. AJ’s only real use is someone who can get some shots away so try it.

I’d keep Maupay tho as think he needs to play games to get him gelling better

Soaking up endless pressure from that lot is inevitable defeat so we need a plan to score at least 2 to rattle them

Odds for an Albion win gone in from 55/1 to 33/1, so I think the plan is to concede early so the odds go back out again

Are we allowed 2 keepers?

Never thought to ask that question, is there a one keeper rule, I would bet my life on there being one. Could you just imagine the confusion. Identical twins who knew each others behaviour to a minute degree might work.

For me it's keep doing what we are doing, go for the points and hope to hell we don't get relegated on goal difference.
