i'm loving the tyranny of the majority and two-thirds majority having too much control. yes, that's the whole point.

unless they have some really nuanced argument i cant see where they go with this, ultimately they choose to join and follow the rules of the PL, then spend too much so breaching them.

I suspect Newcastle might side with them. 18 v 2?
Thankfully Sheffield Utd got relegated, their owner Prince Abdullah is a Saudi prince and was prone to always voting the same way as Newcastle's owners.

And how much do top lawyers charge? If they charge billions, then you have a point. If they charge a million, then the PL can afford them too.
About £1,000 an hour outside of court for the top law firms the type of which they’ll use. Treble that per hour for barristers in court. Cases like this will involve a big legal team, multiple lawyers working simultaneously across thousands of billable hours. The numbers are eye watering, and that’s not even accounting for financial experts, leading accountancy specialist lawyers subcontracted for their expertise and so on and so on.

We’re talking tens of millions of pounds when all is said and done.

And the PL can afford that. The PL is worth over £10 billion. It doesn't matter that Man City owners are worth considerably more, they can both afford to be well represented in court.

Surely they don’t have much of a leg to stand on? Even if the rules aren’t right, you signed up to them by competing?

You would hope so. It's like Indy Car teams breaking the rules and spending more than the opposition and then complaining. I'm sure plenty of sports have rules like this.

Pre take over Man City where ok bounced up and down and had a proper stadium in the community, now they are nothing, as much I would love to win the premiership and European cup I wouldt want to win it how they have in fact I would go to Worthing if this happened to us
Interesting question, are they now more objectionable as a club (not including the fans) than United?

Yes, but if their fans are in anyway arrogant about their 'achievements', it's easier to laugh them off.

Exactly. What they really mean is they hate the idea that clubs like us, Luton, Palace, Bournemouth and so on get as much of a say as they do.

Newmarket.
Time for the other 19 PL teams to vote to throw City out of the PL, and they can then join the South Arabia League
Oh how sweet would that be.
Imagine the exodus of City fans and players when they figure out they'll be playing al-baksheesh fc
instead of the top tier Prem clubs.
