A lot of people seem to think they're the real deal compared to some of the glory seekers up the road, but their support has been pathetic tonight, in a must-win game for them. And not even a sell-out.

I think that the genuine fans would have predicted this sort of game and thus decided to stay in by the telly. 10 man Bayern looking comfortable and still looking for another goal to boot.

Look mate, you cant say that because it spoils the press myth that many on nsc seem to form their opinions around. The press say that Man City fans are northern, so they must be passionate, and they are "long suffering" because they only have a few titles in their history and the fact they can't sell out their ground is just an inconvenient fact that must be ignored.

And they're building an extra several thousand seats too, what's the point?

If it wasn't for the Bayern fans it would have had all the atmosphere of an early round league cup tie against Scunthorpe.

Fleece the away fans at £100 a pop.

13000 seats apparently,

"13,000 extra seats means we will be able to meet the growing demand of our fans for more £299 Seasoncards and as the waiting list for these tickets grows every day, we know all 13,000 seats will be a welcome addition to the Etihad."

APOEL fans haven't stopped signing for the entire match v Barcelona, just like they do at pretty much every home match. (22k capacity stadium, no roof)

You are concocting myths to suit your argument.

There is no press myth. The majority aren't so easily swayed. Your post does not make sense.

yes there is mate and you buy into it about Brighton, probably because you are younger than me and dont remember the albion before Archer. I doubt you remember Sunderand getting around 15000 and Newcastle about the same and Arsenal sometimes falling to around 20,000 either. But yes mate the press never have understood Brighton and yes they talk a load of old rubbish about northern clubs in particular

You don't build a stadium to match current attendances. You build one to cater for future potential attendances.

But they did that already when they were given the Ethiad. They are the champions of the greatest league in the world (©Sky) and have amongst the finest players in the world, they play in a superb stadium, and they can't fill it as it stands. And everyone in Manchester supports them.
