Well I've had to download the occasional digital concert ticket in recent times. They've come as PDF's.
Why am I being forced into having a Google account and the Wallet app in order to gain entry to an event? Are Google sponsoring it

The term 'E ticket' was used on the site of the venue for a concert ticket I've just purchased. It didn't require me to have a Google account and this Wallet app though.

But you have to load a debit card for you to be able to download tickets, which is shit.

Handy when you forget your wallet though....

Just received my email. When I click the link on my phone it takes me to 'Google Wallet'. What's that all about then? I assumed it would download as a PDF.

Does this mean I'm forced to have a Google account and this wallet thingy?

How do you normally receive and use your tickets at the Amex?
