Gordon Smith? ???

Surely they meant Peter Smith? ;)

(and before people start slating me, I'm on about the end of his Albion Career. He was quite good until he shaved his head.)

Has to be Damian Hilton. Does anyone remember that game at Barnet. Shocking. didnt even look like a professional footballer.

Ashley Neale a close second.

Farrington & Cameron did actually score (i think) at least 1 goal

Grant Horscroft is still one of my all-time 'favourites' in this category :lolol:
Indeed, signed from Lewes, he reminded me of a horse with two legs. Big lumbering, no skill or devoid of balance and a long face. :D Absolute gash.

It's a shame Lewes weren't as good as they are these days - Horscroft wouldn't have got near their first team if they were any good at the time, which would have meant we wouldn't have signed him!

Gordon Smith

These writers are answerable to no one thus they can write tripe like this! Stelling especially, his knowledge of football is nil! I have thought that for years..
Gordon Smith was one of our most skillful players of ALL time certainly in my 50 odd years of watching and I think any true fan would agree with that..

Cameron never scored for the first team.

He did, however, score in the first game he played against us - just as we all fecking knew he would after Adams/Cork kicked him out and called him "useless".

Glenn Thomas from the first season at Gillingham was crap, & I've got the Priestfield Tapes video to prove it.

In fact, anyone who was in the first team from the '97 / '98 season at Gillingham ( with the honourable exception of Jeff Minton & Ritchie Barker ) was distinctly ' average '.

If Stelling puts Smith as his worst player, he's an idiot - I mean he won the Scottish Championship with Rangers for f*cks sake !

Ashley Neale, simply the WORST player I've ever seen in a professional team. Unbelievably crap. Even crapper than Damien "Extremely Crap" Hilton...

Tough call but my vote is definately still with Hilton.

Farrington was not in their league when it comes to crapness, we just expected much more based on the £100,000 price tag and the face he came from Feyenoord

1) Ashley Neale
2)Grant Horscraft
3)Mark Farrington
4)Damien Hilton
5)John Goodchild

In my humble opinion.

Take any player from the Priestfield days except Kerry, OGH, Rod Thomas and Minton and they'll be in the squad for the worst ever Brighton players.

Can you imagine how good Gordon Smith would have looked amongst that dross? Which wanker suggested Gordon Smith as our worst ever player, a Palace fan ???

GORDON SMITH.
I couldn't have summed it up better. I'm with you Keith. SMUDGE was one of the MOST GIFTED PLAYERs, to wear the blue and white striped shirt, I have seen in my fifty odd years watching the Albion.

The WORST, by far, was JOE KINNEAR. I will never forgive him for his contribution (or lack of it) during a game at The Den. He was pissed as a fart, but at that time there were no substitutes, so the Albion played the entire match with ten men.

Gordon Smith scored a goal every five games for us which isn't bad in my book.

Trust The Daily Mail's lazy journos to come up with the only player they and their readership can remember from our past.
