Went there in March and its a lovely city. Do the Malaga Bike Tour (Malaga Bike Tours, bicycle tour Malaga, sightseeing bike tour-Home), which is number one on trip advisor things to do, early on as this will give you an idea of where to go.

All the restaurants we ate in were great. 2 inparticular were Restaurante Mariano (RESTAURANTE EL REAL, CASA MARIANO, BODAS, COMUNIONES Y BANQUETES (MOAÑA - PONTEVEDRA)) and El Rescoldo (RESTAURANTE EL RESCOLDO MALAGA), neither were cheap though (about £100 for two including drink). The Alcazabar, cathederal and Castillo de Gibralfaro were interesting to visit.

We got a cab from the airport and it was less than 20 euro and well worth it as there was no queue.

Thats why I said it was for the jet set. Within 2 mins of arriving there, we saw 3 Ferraris an Aston and a Bugatti Veyron.

Well worth going though, fabulous beach.

Wow, 3 Ferraris, thats soooo mental:ohmy:

avoid gibraltar, total shithole. If you are going along the coast check out a restaurant called sardinales on the beach by elviria (near marbella).

Malaga is great for nightlife, take a daytrip up to mijas in the mountains, beautiful andulcian village, there is a great restaurant there called alcazbar that overlooks fuengirola, try the pequnos, delicious.

How soon is now?
If you like seafood go to Pedragaleco, its just east of Malaga city right on the coast road. Malaga itself isn't all that(I lived there for a couple of years). Nerja, about an hour east has some nice beaches, otherwise its west to Torremolinos, Fuengirola(great market on a Saturday am) and Marbella etc....
