After days of everyone sounding together apart from a few Labour idiots attempting to point score, then this **** turns up, with all rhetoric of old school politics, shut up you prick and answer a simple question. Hopefully he is not seen again during the crisis.

I didn't see the interview so assume you are talking about Stephen Barclay rather than poor old Raleigh Chopper!

Haha indeed.

He was so condescending I hope his boss has a serious word. Love to hear his been sacked from the treasury, don't need people like that

So as it stands as of now.
After 40 years of paying income tax and NI, helping to bail out the banks with my tax pounds and going through 10 years of austerity for doing that, I am now 'operationally' difficult.
10 years ago rather than going unemployed after being a house husband for 5 years while I brought up an adopted baby (until she went to school) I trained and went self employed rather than unemployed ( work was difficult to find in Plymouth at the time)
I have worked chuffing hard and built up a good little business, but it is a luxury and not a necessity so my work has collapsed, I also work in people's houses and a lot of my customers are elderly, so I am being sensible too.
Thankfully Tory MPs are making noises at the moment and I hope Corbyn rattles some cages too as he did for PAYE.
Well done David Davies, something I didn't think I would be saying but credit where it's due.
Not being selfish either, I am feeling for the other 5 million in the same boat as me.

Ha ha looking back at my post it could be read both ways. I was 100% behind you. I was shouting at the screen when I saw the interview.

I’m so sick of the long line of celebrity experts on social media, Twitter mostly, unbelievable how a bit of celebrity status seems to make certain people think they know everything and can solve all the problems we are facing.

And then you have idiots like Sam Smith posting that ‘they’ are so bored I’m their 7m pound mansion, hard life aye. Tossers.

I'm not happy that once again it's all the median to big companies getting all the cash and all these key workers will never see any benefit for their sacrifices, minimum wage wont go up, which it should right now .

So what if a company claims cash for 15 employees but gets rid of 10? It's all about keeping the rich rich, sell some of your ****ing assets to help get you through , when you think about it its total bullshit how the "key workers" are being treated!

At least one supermarket has led the way with a 10% hourly bonus for staff payable from 1st march

That's great but it's still going to be the most wealthy that get the most help, not fair at all .

Not really sure where best to post this. One of my favourite podcasts, We Have Ways... discusses CV and it’s comparisons to Britain in 1939.
If you don’t know the We have ways podcast it’s Al Murray and historian James Holland discussing the in and outs of WW2, dispelling myths, exploring little known aspects of the war and life at the time. It is fantastic

Cheers that looks good, will listen later, could equally go into the podcast thread as well.

Do you think a company can claim for 15 yet gets rid of 10 and this will not be picked up. You must have a confused idea how this will work. It's not about keeping the rich rich it's about keeping normal people in a job.
