Thousands of 15-minute home tests for coronavirus will be delivered by Amazon to people self-isolating with symptoms or will go on sale on high street within days, according to Public Health England (PHE), in a move that could restore many people’s lives to a semblance of pre-lockdown normality.

Prof Sharon Peacock, the director of the national infection service at PHE, told MPs on the science and technology committee that mass testing in the UK would be possible by next week.

Regarding the NHS responder volunteers.
You declare when you are “on duty” or “off duty” and can accept or decline shouts as they get alerted. Bit ike a taxi service.

Appreciate that lots of people have a lot on their minds right now and families to watch over etc. I work 4 on/ 4 off so I have the time, but if you can help please have a look at the link :)

The problem then will be those who haven't been tested seeing others out and about and joining them.

So the test determines if you had it, or currently have it ?

And, presumably, a positive result also needs a quarantine period afterwards to ensure you are not contagious ?

Assumed that same on needing 7 day period to then rejoin society.

And yes, would assume there should be some safeguards in place to stop dickheads pretending they've had the all clear when they haven't?

Perhaps you would need to carry the positive test with you so it can be produced on request by Police?

I'm also assuming that everyone's results will be fed back to the Gov so they can much more efficiently direct resources to more contagious areas?

So many logistical questions to how we move forward.

You’d think there would be a ‘controlled’ release of these tests really wouldn’t you, I don’t know like someone bringing the tests to the door and recording the data produced, seen as the data from these is going to be absolutely invaluable?

Absolutely this. Surely there will have to be some official reporting from these tests, rather than us all being left to be our own doctors? That sounds like it could easily become utter chaos.

On a serious note, the fact that Prince Charles managed to contract this virus shows how contagious this is. I am sure all possible measures are used when the royal family are around.

Can we please stop focusing on young people. They are dickheads, regardless of age, as this proves:
