Despite our propensity for young South Americans we suddenly have 3 Germans in the squad for next season.
You seem to be suggesting that the returning Reda Khadra won't make the grade.Despite our propensity for young South Americans we suddenly have 3 Germans in the squad for next season.
There’s deviating and there’s derailing, the latter happens a lot on here. Especially when the usual wannabe alphas are trying to assert dominance over each other!Blimey, if threads weren’t allowed to deviate a little bit, NSC would be a lot quieter and quickly die a death.
The perfect blend of flair and efficiencyDespite our propensity for young South Americans we suddenly have 3 Germans in the squad for next season.

I think Mahmoud Dahoud to the tune of Blondie's "Denise, Denise", perhapsBest thing about this, is we can recycle the Adam El Abd song
Historically some Germans have had an affinity with South AmericaDespite our propensity for young South Americans we suddenly have 3 Germans in the squad for next season.
No need to be going down that path.Historically some Germans have had an affinity with South America
Indeed. It’s what makes NSC what it is. It’s a conversation. I’m a little late to this one. So is he the Caicedo replacement?Blimey, if threads weren’t allowed to deviate a little bit, NSC would be a lot quieter and quickly die a death.
More of a spinning twirler than a crunching destroyer.Indeed. It’s what makes NSC what it is. It’s a conversation. I’m a little late to this one. So is he the Caicedo replacement?
Aha. So the new Ali Mac then…More of a spinning twirler than a crunching destroyer.
Most reports seem to liken him to Ilkay Gundogan. So not really someone tied to either being a defensive tackling mid or a more advanced goalscoring one, but more someone who moves/links between those positions. He's probably more Mac Allister than Caicedo but I would imagine we're bringing this guy in to expand the squad, & if Mac or Moises leaves we'll also bring in another.Indeed. Well, that doesn’t sound too bad !!!!!Most reports seem to liken him to Ilkay Gundogan. Two players, one song:I think Mahmoud Dahoud to the tune of Blondie's "Denise, Denise", perhaps
Dahoud! Dahoud! Dahoud is on fire!!!
There's a difference between being injury prone and spending the last few years mostly injured. The latter is a fact- as stated in the podcast mentioned above. I'm not saying he is a dud, he's just not joining us off the back of two full seasons. I'm not even for one minute saying we are signing an injured player- we obviously wouldn't do that. But the reason he has played so little over the last two seasons IS as much about his injuries as the quality of his teammates (remember he started the season in the team, then got injured) and to say he will be 'ever present' is total guess work given his history. Obviously, I hope he remains fit. It's not at all. Welbeck was a highly injury prone player who lacked form, even at Watford.
Dahoud is a top player in a world class team who had an injury, but is not injury prone, and has mainly been left out of the team because of some of the best players in the world play in his position, no exaggeration.
This is a top, top quality player in his prime. He will immediately become one of our best players.
What we did with Welbeck was incredible.... But we won't have to do anything with Dahoud. He'll be amongst the first names on the team sheet from day one, and likely to be an ever present.
