I watched it .. Utterly insane and a little disturbing in places. Do not be fooled by the title, this is not a Police, Camera, Action type programme.

It may be just me - but the guy who got stabbed seemed to think he might get into an on-going leg over situation. Unfortunately she was seriously mental.

Have to admit that did go through my head when watching as well.....also, this may just be me - but found the accounts from his friend/family members lacked any sort of emotion considering what had happened.

The opening scenes on the motorway are absolutely mind boggling aren't they. Why the hell was the blond twin simply released from the police station after what had occured.
They weren't even properly investigated at the service station.

What got me is that I'm now not sure which one was mentally ill.

If it wasn't the one that did the murder why did the other one run in the road first?(didn't she?)

According to one of the theories the madness only came about when they were together. But that doesn't fully explain the stabbing which occured when the other twin was in hospital.
The other theory was that it was only temporary insanity, since neither of the women had any history of mental illness, and have shown no symptons since.
What if they meet up again after the blond one is released from jail ?

A very disturbing program. You see films that portray things like this but this is for real. When they both ran across the motorway one of them had her legs crushed so bad that they looked like jelly but she was still shouting venom at the police and trying to get up. The other one bounced off the car windscreen and flew through the air but once she came round she was off across the other carriageway, it then took about ten coppers to wrestle her to the ground.

Both, basically received no charges for their motorway antics and the one that went on to murder will be out in about 6 months because they were 'temporarily' mad. I'm glad they don't live near me, because they look pretty much permanently mad to me.

Was a shocking programme, glad it wasn't me on that motorway, the young lad copper did pretty well under the circumstances I thought.

She had to be released since that is how the law works, despite the horror on the motorway, any offences committed were techinically quite minor so there was no legal reason to keep here in custody once she'd been interviewed and/or charged. By all accounts she had been mentally assessed too and deemed fit to release. I have to say though she looked bloody mental enough to me and add to that her previous actions I'm surprised she was released and not detained under the mental health act.

As for the service station, who says they weren't properly investigated? The coppers turned up and spoke to them and took their details. You have to have reasonable grounds to search someone. The service station manageress suspected they had a bomb, really? on what grounds did she suspect that?? They had a bag and were acting a bit strange? Christ on that rationale I could spend all day every day searching people anywhere. And whether she told police this suspicion isn't made clear, she may well have reached this opinion after the event. Unfortunately police have no powers to detain and search people who are simply a bit strange or who give a perfectly reasonable account for why they are at a service station, i.e We are swedish tourists, a bit lost and looking for our bus.

Everything is so black and white with hindsight but at the time it's a whole different story.

Agree to an extent, but still can't quite understand after what she had just done the police were so naive to think that everything was fine and she could be released. Surely the police officers that were there at the time could have told them that wasn't the case.

They clearly were not joining up the thinking on what they knew. I suspect it heppens all the time in the Police. A few years ago a Surrey copper was explaining his role in catching was was I think the Railway rapist. He said "I was sitting at home watching Crimewatch when I saw similarities to cases we were dealing with". It was a few years ago - but not to think that might make the Police look a tad unprofessional is a bit laughable.

Perhaps if the coppers in the station were not flirting with her so much they may of discovered a bit more

Also , the bloke copper did well like you say but the women was absolutely useless

I was also amazed that they were talking to these women on the side of a motorway, surely they should of got them straight in the car as they normally do on these programmes

Surely if someone calls the police like at the sevice station , the least that happened would be a PNC check at which point further actions could of been taken

I'm not someone who is shocked easily - but that was possibly the most disturbing programme I've seen on tv.
