As for bus tickets ... there are no such things as return tickets in the Brighton and Hove city area. You can buy a single (flat fare) ticket or, for shorter journeys, a short-hop ticket, and then there are the all-day-as-many-buses-as-you-want CitySAVER, SAVER tickets or Centrefare tickets.

I spoke to the Brighton & Hove bus company today and not sure if the misinformation above is just you being misinformed or a lie?
I was told that I or anyone can buy a straightforward "return" ticket into Brighton for £3 rather than a mulitibus option for £4.
As someone who likes to appear to want to be an authority on all thing bus related would have though you would have known about them.

The thing I never understand with these parking prices is why you have to pay for a set period instead of it being £x per hour. I'd also like to ask someone why the hell those machines are incapable of giving change.

How they can charge people £20 per day is totally beyond me.

Strange isn't it, here you pay [if you use a car park] per minute & all machines give exact change. Usual cost is one cent per minute locally. Mind you most locals 'abandon' their cars anywhere!

Once the season is in full flow you wont get a spare space, visitors are right on the seafront and within easy walking distance of the Marina and the main Shopping centre, its worth bearing in mind that the marina has a limit of 2/3 hours which is enforced at busy times.

You must be talking about the Asda car park. The multi storey can't be. What if you are watching a film like Lord of the Rings - Return of the King, 3 hours and 20 minutes long plus a ride to the pound afterwards to collect your car!!!!!

Return fares are available travelling outside the B&H City area ie between Newhaven and Seaford (£3) plus the website says to enquire for other local fare areas.

Not sure if you aspire to be a politician LB but you keep evading a direct question by giving deflection answers.
£2 for tourist at the station but residents have to pay £4 local to journey start. Weather you want to call it a flat fare, city saver, single,short-hop,all-day-as-many-buses-as-you-want or any other term they want to add to sell them. Not right is it?

The £2 Day Saver ticket is a bolt on to the PlusBus scheme which is run on a national basis. You can add on the cost of bus travel to your rail ticket for an extra £2. B&H Buses are offering the same price as it would cost on PlusBus without losing commission. Tourists have to show a valid train ticket to the driver to get the £2 deal.

Went to the young seagulls yesterday (great day) and then took the kids down to the Pier for some afternoon fun and Brighton Council charged me £10 to park on Maderia Drive for up to 4 hours. Are they the new Robin Hood accept robbing the poor to pay for their prawn sandwiches!!! It is going to be tough going for the traders on the seafront with these charges.

Perhaps the Council are Lincoln Greens!!

They are also available from within B&H boundaries to other areas within B&H boundaries.
LB was quite specific that "there are no such things as return tickets in the Brighton and Hove city area." which is incorrect.

Just further to this - on a sunny Wednesday in August around 11am there were swathes of empty bays right along the Sea Front, from Madiera Drive through to King Alfred and beyond.

Is that a good thing ?
