Yep..The likes of fraser and the krays were seriously well respected by most and you could say they got rid of the shite back then.People felt safe and business's were protected from the riff raff for a nominal fee
Yes they were evil,but their evil was directed at other gangsters...That's why they will be respected and remembered by many people.

Like the barmaid who was in the blind beggar pub and was later scared for her life after being threatened, or the Many young teenage boys buggered and God knows what else, what about the business owners who paid to avoid being beaten or done over
