just heard on radio that jose was arrested for obstructing police, who were investigating his dog - this was taken abroad without proper jabs, etc.

the dog escaped, and is now on the loose..

I think you can take dogs abroad without any jabs, bringing them back is when you need them? Did he smuggle the dog back in? Port authorities are pretty alert to cars with dogs in them so it all sounds a bit suprising that he could have got away with this.
