Have been half watching the MU game. Classic BT commentary for 2nd Atalanta goal where Mac in particular, supported by his commentator chum were certain that the goal was offside - largely it seemed because Harry(best English centre back allegedly) MaGuire had his hand in the air. The whole thing was poor - defending and commentary - how Dunky isn’t no 1 is totally bizarre!

Big call hooking Pogba for Matic. He might not be consistent, but he's a big-game player who has often come up with the goods to bail them out. Strange decision when you're chasing the game.

He has literally kept OGS in a job this season, on his own.

Man U will never achieve anything under him though, so its all good.

Could see it was onside from initial replay. Not sure why VAR or BT took 2 mins to confirm

Replay showed it was onside straight away.

United would really be struggling without Ronaldo.

That's the Rashford who scored in the home game against Atalanta to get United back in the game and also scored at Tottenham at the weekend?

United would really be struggling without Ronaldo.

Or, they'd be setting up differently and being more successful as a team without him? We'll never know, but it's definitely not as simple as looking at his goals and assuming they'd be doing worse without him.

A better manager would help with or without Ronnie, so hopefully OGS stays for a good while yet :)

Would love to see Zapata as our striker, type of player we are missing, big, strong and full of running, and not a bad scoring ratio either. Ran the Man U defence ragged last night.

How much would it take to prise him away from Atalanta

Interesting how Southgate's "go to" players in Kane, Maguire and Mings and ALL in tragically bad form at the moment. Plus Ramsdale being in far better form that Pickford. We all know the "I'll pick on form" is complete bunkum and GS is more about loyalty to the players he trusts - but the form of those three in particular is alarmingly bad.

The issue (I think at least) is that there is no reliable backup for Kane. No-one other than the retired Vardy has scored more than 4 goals (Callum WIlson). Ings, Watkins, Bamford, DCL have all nose-dived form wise too. Sterling is out of favour at Citeh, Rashford, Greenwood and Sancho and all well sub-par at United. England players are having a real 'mare this season with the exception of a few (Mount, Foden, Rice etc)

They came second in the league without him last season...

People tend to forget that they were quite good last season, with the allegedly incompetent Ole. Second in the league with a defense built around Harry Maguire... the bloke deserve some kind of award, not the sack.
