Can someone on here in the know please confirm or deny that Duncan Macarthur now of county league side Rye Utd, in his Brighton days once banged out Micky Adams during a changing room argument?
Heard this tonight but not sure if it was a wind up or the guy was telling the truth?

Standing in the way of control
Scott McCarthy was always banging on about this. It's bollocks.

Would also be good to know what happened with Charlie Oatway and that midfielder whose name I can't remember who we got from Orient who he allegedly had a fight with, think ROSM knows about that one.

And the Matt Wicks vs Richard Carpenter scrap. And Bob Booker v Kuipers.

He's really not.

He's f***ing nuts. Wouldn't surprise me.

Depends of your definition of nuts really....He's a f***ing jumped up little div! That much I know!

Such a shame as he's a cracking player, dunno if he was good enough to play pro but he's certainly better than county one.

Been at Rye for a couple of seasons now so maybe he's grown up a bit.

Not necessarily...

From October 2010

FA Vase: Rye progress but only after McArthur sees red again

Rye United clinched a place in today’s FA Vase second round draw despite having Duncan McArthur sent off for the second successive week.

Scott Price’s side won 1-0 away to County League leaders Crawley Down thanks to a first-half header from Marc Gall. They are one of only four Sussex sides who go into the draw, including Lancing who face a replay tomorrow night.

But Rye will almost certainly be without McArthur for the next round after the former Albion midfielder’s dreadful disciplinary record continued with a second red card in eight days for an alleged stamp.

Boss Price said: “That was the only disappointing note. We deserved to win. They had the first 15 minutes but after that 1-0 flattered them. We had plenty of other chances.”

Having been on the wrong end of some of his 'tackles' I am pretty sure he is nuts!
However, without much doubt he is one of the best players in non-league football in Sussex and should be playing at a much higher standard than County 1. One of the numerous players that probably had the talent to make it as a pro, but did not have the attitude to cope with the pressure.

Duncan was offered a contract, went on the piss to celebrate for a few days, missed 3 days of training and when he finally showed up Adams ripped up his contract and told him to do one. Apparently.
