My son (8) isn’t massively into football but he’s been showing an interest this season. When Alexis was standing over that free kick I had a feeling and called him through. He and I were jumping around the room like it was a last minute winner.

It’s moments like that they will truly hook him in. What a moment.

After all the poor VAR/referee decisions this weekend, as MAC took his time to gain his composure and line up his free kick, I genuinely expected the referee to book him for time wasting.
