Because I'm not sure we did. No one suggested he was worth less when we bought him and there are reports we had decent offers for him in January, and there may be interest this summer too. Obviously you want to think he's worth less than we paid, because that's the sort of small victory you've been reduced to.A straight swap would be fair, why don't you lot just admit you paid well over the odds for CMS

Marvin Emnes is what we need.I know I'm probably going to get flamed for this but I genuinely believe Barnes and Hoskins have what it takes to compete for the CMS role. I think we need someone completely different to all three. Who that is? No idea...
Releasing CMS would represent a massive failure for Poyet.
Either Poyet paid £3m for a player who did not have the skills and ability that he had believed he did have OR
Poyer failed to devise a system/team that linked effectively with his most expensive signing
Personally, if we're strengthening our midfield I'd like to see CMS given more time. Early in the season he scored some well-taken goals and seemed to falter once his confidence went low due to utter lack of service - at this point, his touch really deserted him compounding the problem.
I think the fact that we should be stronger in defense will actually help CMS. Means we can be a bit more offensive from midfield thus creating chances for him... hopefully.
According to my recordsHow many games did CMS and Vicente start together last season? Can't be that many. I honestly believe a creative midfield is the key to CMS more than a target man alongside. It would be a huge error to offload now (imo) especially as it's not as though there is no resale value in him even if it didn't work out between now and January. I think he'll come good (or even better) and hope he is given the opportunity.
