A lorry has only gone and spunked its diesel all over the M25 at Reigate, which apparently means the road needs resurfacing. No idea how long that will take but it's surely going to cause some serious delays even this afternoon.

M25 shut. 3 hour delays.

Closed for carriageway repairs, clockwise at J8.

3hour delays on M25.
1.5 hour delay at top of M23.

They reckon it SHOULD all be clear by 2pm, but worth keeping an eye on it, for those driving up to Watford later.

I'm just messing. I'm sure we'd much rather two posts on such news than none! Good ol' NSC.

The AA website is predicting that traffic flow should be back to normal by 3pm. Which, as it's the M25, probably means it still won't be moving ;)

wouldn't expect it to be clear until after the rush hour tonight. AA website is usually rather optimistic when it comes to timescales

Having a rethink. Seriously considering the train instead now.

Given those poor souls who missed the Donny game sitting on the M25, it's gotta be the way to go.

If you jump on the one that came out of Brighton at 17:49, you can meet Kerry Mayo who is going to be on that one.

What will it be like getting back to Brighton on the train tonight? It might be a nightmare, no? Any recommended trains/routes?
