I think we were on first simply because it was an entertaining open game and had a few goals/moments . . .and nicely clears the schedules from both teams for the rest of the season to squeeze a bit more top 6 w@nk off into the program

It was weird though. They billed it as an entertaining game, hence why it was on first, but then didn't really show much of the game, and didn't talk about it much afterwards, completely ignoring some key points in the game.
What was the point of it being first?

MOTD needs a massive overhaul. Get some old school non biased pundits in to cut out the constant “....your team having a tough time (insert) Alan / Gary / Guest” cheese. Get rid of the ridiculous amount of over analysis which is effectively just repeating what we’ve already seen (Which isn’t a lot!) and can usually see for ourselves. Get rid of the 66min and then suddenly it’s the 92nd (with pop up)which effectively means there must be a goal about to happen they might as well tell you that. Similarly when there’s a yellow card shown out of context we all know that players going to get send off later. Get rid of the boring post match interviews. Nothing ever really said. Drop any dull nil nils, if the match was rubbish don’t Broadcast it! Oh, and more crowd shots going nuts please.

Agree, I also noticed they quickly sprawled all the subs lists across the screen at the very end, rather than when they weer made for tactical reasons to influence the game. I also noticed the commentator creamed his pants about the shot across goal and Ryans save in the last few minutes, but no one mentioned Maupay doing the same in the first half and Heaton making a good similar save.

In some respects it would be better to edit and compile the program properly and not see it until Sunday.. . . . . or just watch Sky who do it properly.

I can recall that once MOD showed 2 matches only. One about 30 mins and the second a bit less . It was better then. The pointless brief goal shots of several games tell us no more than we can see on YouTube.
