Not when I started. My then boss was of the opinion that the main purpose of the job was to cut bus services in order to encourage further growth in the British car industry, thereby helping the economy. Increasing car ownership was a sign of a flourishing nation.

I think that was fairly mainstream thinking at the time of the Callaghan government.

Think I'll pass that one on to my other half who's a planner for bus priority routes in London!

I suspect about 20-30% of 2.1s on cv are infact 3rds or 2.2s...

I'm thinking of upgrading myself. It is unfortunate that when applying to bigger companies you are often filtered out on your degree grade before they even look at your experience. Lazy HR.
