Transfer no - too much baggage... and is he really an LWB... not an AML?

Loan with possibility of transfer - yes.

On loan with an option to buy would be good business. Spurs did the same with Walker-Peters last year, and given they spent £25m on Sessengon and he can barely get a game, perhaps would be a good move for all parties.

Think it's unrealistic to be honest. Philipp Max, Rico Henry probably more likely options on a permanent basis and considerably cheaper wages. I'd also suggest they're both better at defending.

If that’s true that’s do-able I’d say.

Yes from me - naturally left sided isn’t he?

Basically Lamptey on the left.

He really needs to be LWB in a 3-5-2 system. This is one of the reasons why he doesn't fit in Mourinho's Spurs system, which is often 4-2-3-1 or a 4-3-3.

Furthermore, Gareth Southgate switched from 4-3-3 to 3-5-2 before WC 2018 and if he does this again Sessegnon could make the England squad to cover Chilwell IF he can get 30-40 starts under his belt and do well.

I think the Albion would be a great career choice now for him, as playing in a defence with White, Dunk and Burn behind him will enable him to get forward and use his pace.

I always thought of Ryan Sessengon as an LWB candidate.

He tends to walk across his stumps to in-swinging deliveries.

I reckon £18m+ with additions would be enough if he was formally available.

I think the way this works is that Spurs say they have no plans to sell him. Then we decide he's worth £18m and offer that to Spurs, telling them that they'd be mad to expect any more.

Spurs- who originally valued him at £32m- take one look at our £18m, recognise their greed, and agree that they should bow down to our demands at once, and sell him for a price that's far far less than what they'd hoped for, just because we want him.

Have I got that right?

Surely to get this done we have to have £10M rejected then start a #FreeRyanSessengon thing, slander Spurs a little and it's a done deal.

That's how transfers work, right?

In all seriousness, would be a great signing but doubt it's very likely.

It’s back on!

Potter’s mission to mirror the left side of our defence with our right could be hotting up!

“And now the Athletic report that the Hoops, AC Milan, Ajax, Bayer Leverkusen, Brighton and Newcastle have contacted Spurs over a potential deal.”

Not seen the Athletic story but Ryan has hopefully seen what has happened young Tariq’s stalled career since his change of team. Sessegnon seems the complete antithesis of a Mourinho player, is Potter the manager to reignite this promising players fortunes having been dulled by Spurs.

(This is the welcome to Barca version, can’t find the Brighton one yet).

Absolutely. A bit like Graham Gooch and Terry Alderman...

Would be an absolutely unbelievably signing, although I don't think it'll happen. Should be a no brainer for a kid gagging for first team minutes (see Lamptey)
