Rayan Ait-Nouri hasn’t been playing for Angers SCO in Ligue 1 so far this season. Simply put, he has been replaced. But the situation is not simple, he is not a bad player, it’s just that the top clubs in Europe (plus one scummy outfit) have been sniffing about and his club are looking for a massive pay day. His stats are phenomenal, he is well on his way to becoming one of the top left backs in Europe, certainly calling him a Lamptey-Of-The-Left would be no exaggeration, in fact, the Frenchman could be even better.

Super agent and wealth lover Jorge Mendes seems to have latched on to him and is keen on a Utd move.

With the Manchester club seemingly close to signing the equally talented but 8 years senior Telles, there could be a little opportunity for us, or them up the road of course:

No one has linked this lad to us that I’ve seen yet but as the Left Back merry-go-round reaches it’s conclusion, he is one of a number of very attractive options still available.

Good idea but if he'll be overpriced like the article suggests, then can't see us being the match. Maybe stand firm and test their resolve on the final day of the window.

That was always on the cards once Mendes gets involved

The Man Utd cup game showed us that we’re incredibly limited for options without March at LWB. In fact, with March injured or suspended, I’m not sure we’d play wingbacks because we simply don’t have anyone at the required standard to deputise for Solly.

That's why I was surprised at Cochrane going out on loan - I think he's class and is certainly worth a go there
