Absolute disgrace from Sussex. Best squad on paper for years, even with the injuries there should have been enough in this squad to stay up. But too often looked lost in games.

Robinson seems to have lost interest, ever since he did not get the England job. Obvious that he cannot coach batsmen, yet no specialist batting coach on the staff and that showed, this season and last.

Joyce has not won a 4 day game since May, so time to step aside and let Wright get on with it.

Robinson should go, but Jim May will protect him. Moores is available, so a coaching set up of Moores, Prior, Yardy and Jon Lewis seems a decent rebuild.

Also do players in cricket get a pay cut if relegated, like in football? That would be very useful to focus the mind of some of our younger batsmen, who do not seem capable of adapting to conditions or playing in a responsible way.

I don't know about best squad for years but it should have been too good to go down. Bring Moores back ... and get some batsmen who can get their heads down. We should have saved this match but there's no leadership

Hants C C or Kolpak CC show that playing the kolpak game saved them. A bajan, 2 South Africans ( cricketers not rugby players) and a zimmer kept them up. Our home grown didn't.

Is that the same Moore's whose Notts team put in such a strong performance against Hampshire?

That's the fella:thumbsup:

Notts were second or third from bottom when he went there so he's pulled them up ... but IIRC it's not a permanent gig. I'm sure we could tempt him back

Here
Make Wright captain of all formats. Bin Joyce & Robinson. I think we have the bowling attack (especially if mags can become English) but all available resources need to be spent on the batting line up.

Actually bin Roninson, Joyce, Cachopa, Machin, Wells and Liddle.

Lower league football team and cricket team now. At least Sussex CCC have had success recently. Lets hope the Albion can get promoted.

Machan? The guy who got just short of a thousand runs in his first full season? Wells needs a bit of a slap - it's not that long ago he was playing in a test trial

Some clueless people on here.

Machan has been superb in his first full season scoring almost 1000 league runs.

The club need to build the side around the likes of Machan and the younger players.

Agreed. It's Joyce & Nash that can piss off.

What a feeble end but if we had have stayed up we'd have got absolutely battered in Div One next season.

Robinson saying 'it's not the end of the world" to go down is the final insult. He so obviously needs to go.

As for the players. To go - Piolet, Zaidi, Nash, Anyon, Finch, Liddle, .

Last chance - Cachopa, Wells,

Difficult one - Joyce

I'd get in a new player as captain, if not Wright.
