Its not a pleasant exchange. You could argue that it was xenophobic rather than racial though. I guess Gale / Yorkshire's stance will (have to) be that it was a comment on the rights and wrongs of his eligibility to qualify as a non-overseas player...

Unless Gale is far more intelligent than he has ever appeared I can't see that argument being very succesful.

Its not about how intelligent he is though - its how intelligent his defence team are. They'll look at what words he actually said, then sit down and think of the least damaging meaning they could possibly ascribe to them, then maintain that was what he meant by it.

Yorkshire have history with Kolpak players, insofar as they are not well disposed towards them. This isn't a race issue, if more reputable news sources are to be believed, and Prince himself appears not to have made a complaint.
