I'd love to know what power Goodwin has over Robbo. He's got an average of 18 this season - that's nowhere near good enough for a No 4 batsman but he still gets selected.

Past Glories?

Sadly a season too far - Machan or Gatting should be competing for the No.4 spot.

90-3

I was too kind to him - his average is under 14. Past glories shouldn't enter into it, it's his current form that counts. Gatting deserves a shot

As one of the senior pro's with huge experience and a matching pay packet he's going to be given much more time to turn it round. Can't afford to have him in the stiffs on his wages.

It does look as though Father Time has caught up with Murray. He's a legend all the same.

Exactly. No-one's doubting his legend status but we should only be giving him so much time: he's nearly 40 and there comes a time when the reflexes go. Yes, give him time to turn it around but not the whole season - this is like Grizzly's last season, when he too played for a year longer than he should have.

Was there for the last session, Monty was bowling well and looks like he could pick up a few wickets.

There's plenty of lift in the pitch, I don't think we'd want to be chasing many more than 150 on it.

Close of play 92 for 2. 25 runs behind us with 8 wickets to build a lead. Should be a good days play tommorow. Hoping to catch some more in the sunshine.
