Just relegate them now and be done with it?
Luton Town's first home game back in the top flight has been postponed after the club could not assure the Premier League and opponents Burnley that improvement works at Kenilworth Road would be completed in time.
Work is being carried out to meet Premier League standards following promotion from the Championship.
It means the Saturday, 19 August fixture will have to be rearranged.

Luton vs Burnley deserves to be held on a miserable Tuesday night in January, what a dreary fixture it sounds

Feel for the Burnley fans (never thought I’d say that) who have already got their transport sorted

Sounding like an entitled top six fan there as is Bozza with “let’s just relegate them” :lolol:
Not a comment on the teams, more the shithole towns they represent.

Got a feeling this won't be the only home game that gets pushed.

Who wants to bet on when they'll actually see a game at Kenilworth Road?

Burnley was Aug 19,
West Ham Sept 1
Wolves Sept 23
Spurs Oct 7
Liverpool Nov 4
Palace Nov 25
Arsenal Dec 5
City Dec 9
Newcastle Dec 23
Chelsea Dec 30

I wouldn't be surprised if West Ham gets delayed too. I have a feeling they aren't just a couple of days behind here. Surely they'd have things sorted by Wolves? Or at least by Spurs?

Apparently the buliding work is ahead of schedule, it’s the pitch

The report I heard on 5Live stated they were on schedule, but are aware that any kind of hitch at all would mean the fixture would need to be postponed, so they'd rather push it back now, and not last minute, stuffing up fans more than is the case by doing it now.

I've played that game as a Project Manager in previous roles. "It's on track but we can't afford any more delays"

Miles behind.

Don’t want to say I told you so but posted weeks ago that they should play at Milton Keynes until their stadium is sorted. I told you s Shame no one thought of that idea.
No they shouldn’t they didn’t want to it was never an option
