A ‘loophole’, I think, is an unintended event/consequence. By that definition, given it’s been in place 12 years and the club have removed getting on for 10 other benefits that were originally included, but not this one, I personally don’t believe it’s remotely close to a loophole. It’s quite deliberate.

I’d agree with ‘unfortunate’ and ‘unfair’ though. 😊
….or it’s just been missed as ticket policies were altered and there hasn’t been any meaningful noise about it (until now). TBF it didn’t really matter until the last couple of seasons, either in terms of availability or ability to transfer away tickets

..yep, I guess that's a possibility too.

I don't see how the club can remove this "loophole" without putting the holder of a corporate ticket at a disadvantage compared to an ordinary STH and allocate ST points retrospectively.

Some have suggested that points be awarded to whoever is passed an away ticket but ignored the problem of who gets the season ticket points.

Take @Bozza example of NSC Marketing Ltd that has 2 1901 tickets - 1 regularly used by a director and 1 by customers. How do you allocate the ST points. The first ticket being used by 1 person and the other by possibly 19+ different ones.

The person named by the ticket holder (when they buy the away ticket) gets the points.

Easy….because a name has to be put on the ticket now.

That’s the point- should be the attendee, not the STH
That doesn't answer the question - who gets the season ticket points? Each ticket in my example could potentially give someone up to 200 points at the beginning of the season - the club can't allocate them to a user if they are corporate ones, so who gets the points?

If they are credited to the corporate ticket you can't then ignore those points when buying an away ticket.

At the moment the 1901er (corporate or personal) does, whether they go to the game or not. I don’t know for sure but assume a 1901 ticket has a fan number ?

STH's can legitimately share their ST with others, and retain the ST points.
If one 1901er (Company or Individual) is using one ticket to buy away tickets for one person, then the ST and fan number get tied together for that person?

ST points are for holding an ST, not game by game

But if those points can't be used when buying an away ticket and/or can't have the points for the away game added to the tickets total then they are effectively useless. That would put the director in my example who uses one of the 1901 tickets to go to most home games at a serious disadvantage compared to an ordinary STH when buying away tickets

If he doesn’t attend away games then he shouldn’t get priority over those who do

How does the club know who is going to be using the corporate ticket at the beginning of the season? It may be one individual or numerous different people

I agree. I’m a 1901er that sees seats around me at the Amex that have different inhabitants at each home game (so presumably corporate) but I also see the vast majority that are just ordinary fans. I
Not necessarily corporate, I’m pretty sure the Club buys up tickets from lapsed members and also through the exchange to allow them to fulfil demands for match by match tickets. When I’ve not been able to attend I believe the club have taken our tickets on the exchange. Case in point, I listed my Palace tickets in December , but they’ve not appeared on the exchange. When I called this week and asked why I was told they’re waiting to sort out all the hospitality applicants for the game and that not to worry as my tickets will sell.
