Which one of these two proper football clubs do you want back in the league by Saturday evening?

Personally I think they should recreate the 1989 FAC semi final, by moving it White Hart Lane and limiting attendance to a feeble 28,000.

Would still be AFC for me, although Luton fans have been through it as much as anyone in recent years.

And then AFC v MK Dons in the first round of the FA Cup next season.

Luton. If AFC Wimbledon get much higher they'll run into exactly the same problems that the original Wimbledon club ran into, i.e. they'll get "too big for their roots". Kingstonians ground (or wherever it is they play) will be too small, they'll end up sharing with Palace whilst they try to find a site in south west London big enough for a modern 3rd or 2nd tier club. That will prove to be impossible and they'll end up moving to Devizes or somewhere, and a new 'Wimbledon' will have to start all over again.

Better they stay where they are (both geographically and in league terms) and save another ten years of heartache.

Agreed. And the more successful Luton are then the worse it will be for McFranchise too.

Oh, I voted Wimbledon, because I lived there for 9 years (compared to the 1 year I lived near Luton), but as far as I'm concerned, it's great that tin pot Fleetwood didn't get through. I am sick of poxy tin pot northern clubs coming through. As if the league needs another Accrington or Morecambe!

What on Earth makes you so sure about that? I think Merton council learned its lesson and have earmarked a site back in the borough. Mind you, I know the site they are considering, and it would seem to me that clearing an industrial estate to make way brings its own problems...

Of course I'm not sure - I just picked Devizes at random. Nevertheless IF they get bigger and go further up the pyramid they WILL run into exactly the same problems as the original club faced - Plough Lane was never, could never be a modern all-seater Premiership (or even Championship) ground and I'm sure the same applies to their current ground.

Even if Merton are more 'pro-football' than they were in the past, as you've implied it's not a given that a new ground could be built.

Wimbledon for me, Luton are a bunch of thugs. Plus I want to see them win against MK dons in a couple of seasons, as they obviously could be in the same league.
