These things don't go unnoticed. Even my wife who's not the biggest footie observed that Shaw looked a little chunky around the mid riff for a pro athlete

Man snaps his leg in half a few years ago, struggles mentally with the recovery and time away from his team mates, puts on some weight and has struggled to lose it again after countless other injuries affecting the progression of his career. Old men online come on to laugh at it. Doesn’t sit right with me, chief.

This man doesn't sound like a shoo-in for the most important international game for years.

I have moobs, people take the piss all the time, and I can't afford a gym membership, or have a job where there is a gym and fitness coaches provided for me.

(I can afford a gym membership, I just spend it on pies instead.)

Said man is a ridiculously well paid 'young' professional athlete with limitless resources to address both his physical and mental issues at his leisure. No NHS waiting lists, no money worries, a team of specialist medical staff including physios and dieticians.

Sits fine with this old man, chief!
