Rodgers wants new League One club

Free-agent striker Luke Rodgers hopes to stay in League One following his departure from relegated Yeovil. The 27-year-old, who is currently on holiday in Portugal, scored three goals in 10 starts for the Glovers after joining from Port Vale in January
He told BBC Sport he has had interest from Leyton Orient and Brighton, where Russell Slade - the man who signed him for Yeovil - is now in charge.
But Rodgers wants to remain closer to his home in Birmingham.
Rodgers began his career with Shrewsbury Town before stints with Crewe and Port Vale.
He has scored 105 goals in 331 senior appearances.

Anyone know what he is like, cant say I've heard of him before. And secondly who is the proof reader at the BBC - relegated Yeovil. ??

I dont think hes better than any of our current strikers, apart from maybe dixon so no thanks, he was prolific when he was younger, but sadly it seems not for last few seasons

If I had to compare him to any recent Albion strikers I'd go for Lee Steele.

With that in mind I probably wouldn't sign him considering the players we already have.

Fair comparison ..probably not as good as Lee Steele ..does alledgely like a drink like good old Lee

I do not think that we will go after Luke Rogers as he doesnt represent the future for us but having said that he is a better prospect of coming on and scoring than Dixon or even OGH so who knows what will happen and what RS is thinking.

He was good at Shrewsbury, very good comparison to Lee Steele. I would be very suprised if we went for him though.
