Why all the suggestions about Luke Rodgers when Doncaster have released Darren Byfield who is a proven scorer in Div 1, whether or not he would want to join us is another matter.

Darren Byfield is a proven Div 1 striker, ask the question why have none of the clubs that Clarke has been on loan to not tried to sign him permanently?

He scored 1 goal in 8 apps for Oldham when on loan and 0 in 15 for doncaster and is 32
Whereas Billy Clarke is 21 and has scored 3 in 5 for northampton on loan this season so in my opinion he would be the better option

Billy Clarke's record while on loan.

Colchester 6 games no goals
Falkirk 8 games 1 goal
Darlington 20 games 9 goals
Northampton 5 games 3 goals
Brentford 8 games 5 goals.

This would suggest that he is a reasonable scorer in Div 2.

Played 49 games for Ipswich and scored 3 goals.

Is he what we need if Forster and Murray are injured or cannot produce the goods, I dont think so.

Well, we will have to agree to disagree but I garuntee you should billy clarke move to someone in our league he will bang in the goals
I Dont see why byfield would be any different he hasnt played properly for like 2 years

Don't Mention The War
If this is indeed true, then that means Owusu is on the way out. Because we can't have Davies, Murray, Forster, OGH, Owusu and Rodgers. We'll be lumbered with way to many strikers, so Owusu looks like he will go which is a complete shame.
